Agilent’s cutting-edge 6546 LC/Q-TOF instrument now available at SmiLe’s labs

Agilent, SmiLe Incubator and Medicon Village representatives

SmiLe Incubator welcomes Agilent, a global leader in laboratory instruments, as its Diamond level Lab Sponsor. Thanks to this partnership, we can now offer our startup members, Medicon Village members and other life science startups via Open Lab Skåne, access to state of the art LC/Q-TOF technology.

As part of the sponsorship, Agilent has provided its newest liquid chromatography Q-TOF instrument, the Agilent 6546, in SmiLe’s Lab. The instrument has the highest resolution and widest dynamic of its kind, enabling comprehensive workflows in metabolomics research, food safety, food authenticity, and environmental screening.

We have found the perfect partner in SmiLe where we contribute with the latest LC/Q-TOF technology in a passionate and driven life science environment and get the possibility to showcase our Agilent 6546 LC/Q-TOF in their lab. Closely linked to the vibrant Medicon Village makes this a great location for us at Agilent. We are very much looking forward to a fruitful partnership and welcome everyone who is interested to accelerate LC/Q-TOF capabilities to visit SmiLe!”, says Katarina Alenäs, Business Team Manager Instruments Sweden and Finland, Country General Manager Sweden.

Access to well-equipped laboratories is a prerequisite for successful life science innovation and we are thrilled to have Agilent as our new lab sponsor. Thanks to this cooperation, we can now offer SmiLe members as well as Medicon Village members access to the very powerful high-resolution mass spectrometry technology from the Agilent 6546 instrument” says Per Brunmark, Director of Core Facilities of SmiLe Incubator at Medicon Village in Lund.

Partnerships of this magnitude contribute significantly in SmiLe Incubator’s efforts to ensure that life science companies have the latest, most advanced equipment at their disposal, without having to make major investments.

Webinars and workshops will be organized after the summer, aiming to introduce the instrument to life science startups and familiarize them with its capabilities. Exact dates will be announced right after summer.
