Pia Kinhult has been appointed new Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of SmiLe Incubator. She succeeds the acting chairman Per Persson who now continues as ordinary board member.

Pia Kinhult has extensive experience from both politics and business. She has previously, amongst other things, served as chairwoman of the regional board in Region Skåne, and as the chairwoman of the board of Krinova Incubator & Science Park. Today she works as Head of Host State Relations at the European research facility ESS, responsible for the coordination within and between the host countries Denmark and Sweden at government level. It is an honour for me to be part of SmiLe Incubator. It is a unique and exciting life science platform that has developed in an extremely positive direction in the last few years. I am looking forward to being able to contribute to further develop the business and ensure that SmiLe continues to maintain its high international standard and strengthens its position as an important life science player, both in Sweden and abroad." says Pia Kinhult.

I am very pleased that Pia has accepted the assignment as Chairman of the Board of Directors of SmiLe. Her extensive experience and wide network of contacts in both politics, research and business is extremely valuable to us. The connection to ESS also enables a closer cooperation on future new discoveries within life science which can bring very exciting opportunities for SmiLe.” says Ebba Fåhraeus, CEO of SmiLe Incubator.
