Red Glead Discovery named one of the 2017 Gazelle companies by Dagens Industri

As one of the fastest growing companies in Skåne, Red Glead Discovery is qualified to enter the prestigious 2017 Gazelle Contest organized by the newspaper Dagens Industri. Red Glead Discovery meets all criteria, including a certain size and increase in sales. On November 27 Red Glead Discovery will attend the awards ceremony in Malmö where the county’s winners will be named. In December, a ceremony will be held to award the prestigious “Super Gazelle of the Year” prize.

“We’ve grown from 7 to 23 employees in recent years, thanks to strong demand for our services in early drug development in the Öresund region, as well as in the rest of Europe and the US. We see continued strong growth potential over the next few years, in part because more and more of our customers come from the major global pharmaceutical companies,” says Johan Evenäs, CEO and one of the founders of Red Glead Discovery.

Red Glead Discovery, active in Medicon Village in Lund, has increased its sales in three years by more than 400% to SEK 19 million in 2016.  The company is expected to increase its sales by 10-15% in 2017. Two reasons for a continued optimistic view of the future are the fact that current customers are basing a growing share of their research and development activities with Red Glead Discovery, and that Red Glead Discovery has launched a unique and innovative service within the earliest drug development phase that primarily attracts international pharmaceutical companies as new customers.

• Sales in excess of SEK 10 million
• At least ten employees

• Increased sales each year over the past three years
• A combined operating profit for the four financial years that is positive
