NLSDays, the largest Nordic partnering conference dedicated to the life sciences, is being held in Stockholm this year. Two companies from SmiLe Incubator in Lund, Akuru Pharma and Gedea Biotech, will compete before a Nordic jury in the NLSDays pitch competition this evening. They were selected following tough competition with other Nordic startup companies.
Akuru Pharma and Gedea Biotech made it to the pitch final based on their video descriptions of their companies. The 12 best companies get to enter the competition and pitch their innovations and business plans on-site in Stockholm. They will do so before a knowledgeable audience that will include both investors and representatives from the life science industry.
“Having many opportunities to expose their startup companies is important for our entrepreneurs, both for meeting national and international contacts in the industry and for fine-tuning the description of their specific business opportunities. We are pleased that companies from SmiLe Incubator have once again been chosen for the competition,” says Ebba Fåhraeus, CEO of SmiLe Incubator of Lund.
The following Nordic startup companies in fields such as pharmaceuticals, medtech, diagnostics and e-health will compete in the “Startup Challenge @ NLSDays 2018” this evening at 6 p.m.: Akuru Pharma, Bioreperia, Game Intelligence, Gedea Biotech, Letsip, Lipum, MediTuner, Operationskollen, Quantum Leap Computing Labs.
