SmiLe goes to Kulturnatten!

The business incubator SmiLe Incubator and the Open Lab Skåne project are participating at "Kulturnatten" (Culture Night) in Lund on Saturday, September 15 with a “BIOHACKING workshop,” where visitors will get to participate in a lab exercise and isolate their own genetic information, their DNA.

“Each participant will get to isolate their DNA from the epithelial cells of the mouth during three lab sessions in Vattenhallen on Saturday. They will work with lysis buffer, enzyme solution and ethanol. The process is relatively simple and everyone who completes the lab exercise will go home with their own DNA in a container – that's awesome,” says Martina Schneider from SmiLe Incubator.

The event will be carried out in collaboration with Vattenhallen Science Center and both adults and children are welcome.
