SmiLe recruits Ulrika Axelsson as business development coach

Ulrika Axelsson, new business coach at Smile Incubator

SmiLe Incubator strengthens the business development team with additional expertise in healthtech and biotech by recruiting Ulrika Axelsson. She has previously worked in the startup company PainDrainer and at the centre for cancer research CREATE Health in Lund, Sweden.

Many successful companies in Lund originate from CREATE Health, a strategic centre for translational cancer research at Lund University, and Ulrika Axelsson har worked closely with some of them. An example of a spin-off company from the centre is Immunovia.

After having obtained her PhD in Immunotechnology at Lund University, Ulrika Axelsson has worked in the intersection between academia and industry. She was deputy director at CREATE Health with responsibility for clinical studies, amongst other things. Subsequently she has worked at PainDrainer – a healthtech company developing solutions for self-management of chronic pain – where she was responsible for business development, regulatory programs and CE marking as well as clinical trials.
