SmiLe starts digital education with GE Healthcare and Philips

SmiLe Incubator will soon launch “SmiLe e-Campus,” a digital entrepreneurship education program, in collaboration with major industry players GE Healthcare and Philips Electronics. The program is open to people from all countries who want to become entrepreneurs in life sciences.

EIT Health (European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) in health) chose SmiLe based on an application to run the program. SmiLe Incubator, which specializes in providing business development support to life science entrepreneurs and is based in Medicon Village in Lund, Sweden, will provide the entrepreneurial expertise in the program.

In this program SmiLe is collaborating with experts from GE Healthcare in Hungary and Philips Electronics in the Netherlands. Because many of the lectures will be presented by industry experts, SmiLe e-Campus will provide participants with valuable insight into what the industry wants and requires.

“We are thrilled to have been entrusted with the task of sharing our methods and our experience of life science entrepreneurship internationally. Our Campus program is unique within EIT Health because we partner with industry representatives, which provides participants with unique access to industry right from the start,” says Ebba Fåhraeus, CEO of SmiLe Incubator.

SmiLe e-Campus will be held on a part-time basis for eight weeks starting on September 7, 2020.

The program will be presented via SmiLe’s digital platform and in fields such as business models, corporate governance and funding, IP and regulatory strategy.
