Lund, Sweden – SmiLe Venture Hub has been named one of the winners of the Startup Ecosystem Stars 2025 Awards in two categories: Best-in-class Startup Programs and Outstanding Investment Boost. The awards are presented by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Mind the Bridge, recognising the most effective and influential innovation organisations worldwide.
This year’s evaluation included innovation actors from across the globe, and SmiLe is now positioned among the leading international hubs driving entrepreneurship, talent development, and innovation capacity forward.
“Startup ecosystems are the infrastructure of the future economy. The diversity and quality of this year’s winners demonstrate how innovation capacity is expanding globally, driven by organisations committed to fostering entrepreneurship, talent, and long-term competitiveness,” says Marco Marinucci, CEO and Founder of Mind the Bridge.
The awards honour organisations that have demonstrated exceptional leadership, long-term impact, and excellence in ecosystem development. They highlight those who set the standard and serve as role models on the global stage.
Yesterday, representatives from SmiLe were in Paris to receive the awards.
“Life science founders need the right conditions to build global companies from Europe. At SmiLe, we work every day to create those conditions, and I appreciate ICC and Mind the Bridge for recognising the effort behind it,” says Ulrika Ringdahl, CEO of SmiLe Venture Hub.
