Top marks for CEO coaching in collaboration between Almi and SmiLe

The third round of SmiLe´s CEO group coaching has now been completed and has consistently garnered top marks from participants. The program is held by Almi Företagspartner in collaboration with SmiLe as part of SmiLe's leadership program. The next round will begin this autumn.

The collaboration with SmiLe means that the CEO group only includes business leaders from SmiLe’s life science companies. The CEO group meets up on seven occasions. In line with the concept, participants coach one another within given frameworks using structured coaching. Under the guidance of Tina Karlsson from Almi Företagspartner Skåne, frank discussions are conducted in an open atmosphere, with a generous give and take approach.

“Each CEO group is always struck by how powerful our methodology is with respect to encouraging growth as business leaders. They come to realize that they need to begin within themselves, rather than trying to live up to a general image of how a CEO behaves. They gain self-understanding and develop new confidence in their role. This group found that sharing challenges and giving each other advice was both fun and highly stimulating. They’ve decided to continue meeting in this way, even after the program ends,” says Tina Karlsson from Almi Företagspartner Skåne.

To date, over 20 business leaders from SmiLe companies have had the opportunity to grow through CEO groups. The participants realize over the course of program that they all face similar challenges. These include how an organization should be structured, corporate culture and leadership, as well as matters related to pricing, marketing and communication.

“We’re extremely pleased to be able to offer this exclusive collaboration for CEO groups. The programs include participants from current incubator companies, as well as from our alumni companies, which adds an extra dimension to the discussions. Since everyone is active in the same industry, they share a common frame of reference, which creates relevance. Our People&Culture offering at SmiLe also includes CEO lunches with various themes for discussion, as well as workshops focused on relevant subjects, such as recruitment, feedback training, team building and dedicated training programs,” says Ebba Fåhraeus, CEO of SmiLe Incubator.
